Required readings
To understand the concept of "Human Development":
- Chapter 1 of Human Development Report 1990
(downloadable from http://hdr.undp.org/en/reports/global/hdr1990/chapters/ )
To know the connection of human development and climate change:
- Summary of Human Development Report 2007 / 2008
(downloadable from http://hdr.undp.org/en/reports/global/hdr2007-2008/
The complete report is long and vast (we will make it ready for discussion sessions), so we require you to read the summary version. It describes how climate change is affecting human development throughout the world, especially in developing countries.
